Is Your Toilet Making You Sick?
Haley Williams | 8/26/2025
I don’t want to gross you out.
But I’ve got to say, what I am about to explain will probably gross you out anyway. I’m sorry, but it is important for you to know, even though it is gross, because this is really important to your health – and everyone else’s.
It all started when I moved into a smaller apartment. And pretty soon, I started noticing I was getting sick more often. I had more allergies, more sore-throats, even more acne.
I thought it must just be the stress from work.
But then, something strange happened. My sister came to stay with me, along with her little dog, Rosco.
Within a couple of days, Rosco seemed to have a cough, and he had less energy. Then my sister got a sore throat, a rash, and got some pimples – and my sister normally has perfect skin!
“Your apartment is cursed,” my sister told me, “There is something wrong with your air.”
I had to agree. As soon as my sister and Rosco left, I scrubbed my apartment from top to bottom, hoping to find the source of the problem. But I kept getting a stuffed nose and sore throat.
I was getting really fed-up with it, I couldn’t stand being sick all the time, and I was starting to think about moving. But that would mean breaking my lease and losing my security deposit and I couldn’t afford that.
Just about that time something both really gross and really lucky happened… My toilet got clogged.
It smelled HORRIBLE.
But luckily the plumber had the solution to all my problems.
His name was Ricky. He looked exactly like you imagine a plumber to look. He was tall and heavy-set and had a dark goatee. He gave me a big friendly grin as soon as he walked into the door of my apartment, even though it now smelled like poopoo.
I followed him to the bathroom, embarrassedly apologizing for the smell.
“Not to worry!” Ricky said with a grin. “I’ve got the X-All Pure Ionizer on hand, so that nasty smell won’t linger for long and it’ll be gone in no time.”
With that, he pulled out a sleek, compact device from his toolkit and plugged it in on the counter.
“What is that?” I asked, intrigued.
“It’s the X-All Pure Ionizer". It releases millions of negative ions that act like a magnetic force, neutralizing smelly particles, bacteria, and moisture right out of the air. It freshens things up super fast."
“I actually recommend them to everyone, even when there’s no plumbing disaster,” he continued.
“You see, every time you flush the toilet, something called a ‘toilet plume’ shoots up into the air which is a nasty mix of water droplets and microscopic poop particles."
“It can make you sick, even settling on your toothbrush or other surfaces. Before I started using the X-All Pure Ionizer, I’d get sore throats constantly."
“That’s why there are strict laws about bathroom placement in restaurants such as how close they can be to kitchens and how many doors separate them. They don’t want those particles contaminating food or anything else."
“Some toilets create a bigger plume than others based on flush power, but those particles and bacteria can spread up to 15 feet.”
My stomach churned... could this be the disgusting reason I’d been getting sick so often? “But I always shut the toilet lid,” I protested. “Wouldn’t that stop it from being the cause of my constant illnesses?”
Ricky chuckled. “Shutting the lid doesn’t do much. It’s not airtight or sealed. That’s why it doesn’t help with smells either."
“As far as I know, the X-All Pure Ionizer is the only real affordable solution that tackles it head-on."
“And they’re a total win because you only buy them once. They’re low-maintenance, plug into the wall, and they keep purifying like new for years.”
I was relieved to finally have an answer to my mystery sickness... but also totally grossed out.
As soon as Ricky packed up and left, I decided to verify if the X-All Pure Ionizer was as amazing as he claimed.
And wow, the reviews were incredible, TONS of five-star raves!
Seeing they came with a solid money-back guarantee, I knew I had nothing to lose. I ordered a few right away.
As soon as they arrived, I set them up around my apartment, including one right in the bathroom.
When I got home from work, the place smelled so much better. But the true test was whether my allergies and sickness would vanish.
And they did!
Within a week, my sore throat and stuffy nose were history, and I felt better than I had in months.
That’s why I’m sharing this story even though it’s a bit gross.
We’ve all got toilets generating those invisible plumes that can make us sick, especially vulnerable kids and seniors.
I’d recommend the X-All Pure Ionizer to everyone. It rescued my health and could do the same for yours. Plus, as a bonus, it wipes out any other funky odors too!

This is a set-and-forget device—no filters to manage. The indicator light is subtle, so it doesn’t bother me at night.
